Plants as table numbers and/name cards
We have all seen the table with name cards that seem to go on for miles. Make something different this time around by marking your tables with small succulents. You can also do this for each person’s name card, or go simple and tie a card with their name on it around a single tulip or carnation. Small details like this will go far for your guests!
Seed paper
Want to continue the flower theme? Use seed paper for the paper products at your wedding — think Save the Date cards or invitations, programs, and/or name cards. Don’t forget to make it clear on the seed paper exactly what it is so the guest can make sure to plant it. One adorable idea you could print is: “Take a little piece of our blooming love with you and plant these outside.”
Springtime fruit
Use all the fruit that is in season now to your advantage! Having a cute farm stand fruit table during cocktail hour will give your guests something to munch on without ruining their appetite. Or if you wanted to have a healthier dessert option, cut up berries, melons, peaches, or whatever else is available in your area and put it next to a chocolate fondue pot.
Lawn games
If you’re having a backyard party, make sure to take full advantage of it! Set up some fun lawn games that will get your guests out from the confines of the dinner table and up moving. Some ideas include corn in the hole, horseshoes, pin the tail on the donkey, even have a pinata! Some stores have these as options for rent so don’t feel as if you have to buy them just to have them at your party.
