Finding Party Rental Equipment

Jun 14, 2019

If you’ve got an event coming up and a venue booked, chances are there’s still quite a bit of work left to do. Sometimes the little things can elude us: linen colors, padded chairs – and where are people going to dance? Is there space available, or do you need a portable dance floor (yes, it’s a thing!)?

Maybe you’ve got a great backyard and you want to pull out all the stops for a fantastic party, or maybe you’ve been landscaping your heart out to get ready for a wedding. Companies that offer wedding rentals are a good place to start as they’ll have most of what you need, but regardless of the type of event, you want as many options and as much flexibility as possible.

The Backyard Party

Planning a party involves so much: invitations, decorations, food and activities. You likely don’t have dozens of chairs just hanging around, so you’ll need to consider your options for party rental equipment.

The basic padded chairs are pretty standard…they’re comfortable and they get the job done. But if you want to add a little more elegance to your event, consider getting some Chiavari chairs.

You will also need tables for food and gifts, and with the exception of maybe a couple of card tables, you might not have what you need for a full-blown party. Rent some party tables and rent some linens (to coordinate with the party’s other decorations). While you may not need dozens and dozens of tables for dining, you will still need something other than what you’ve got stowed away in the garage.

One-Stop Party Event Rentals

In addition to tables, party tents, and chairs, one very important item you’re going to be short on as you plan your event is time. So whether you’re putting on a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, a reception or sweet sixteen birthday party, you want to know that you can get everything you’ll need in one place. Wedding rentals are often the same as party rental companies, but be sure that you’ll be able to get all that you need at once.

Finally, always keep in mind the location of the event and the time of year. If your event is going to be outside, always assume that it could rain or become very windy. In those cases you’ll want a party tent or two, chair covers, and be sure that there’s a way to anchor everything down to protect against the wind.
